JD Vance uses strong language to support RFK Jr during a hearing against senators

Contentious Senate Hearing Features HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

During a recent Senate Finance Committee hearing, Vice President JD Vance responded sharply to a confrontation involving Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., stating, “It’s full of s*** and everyone knows it.”

Senator Ron Wyden pressed Kennedy, accusing him of endangering children through reckless decisions and a conspiratorial agenda. He implied that Kennedy didn’t show remorse for putting forth a “fundamentally cruel” approach.

Kennedy countered Wyden by highlighting that, over the span of Wyden’s decades in office, rates of chronic disease have surged to 76%.

Vance took to social media to emphasize the importance of supporting children against untested treatments promoted by big pharmaceutical companies, continuing his critique of the senators involved. “You’re full of s*** and everyone knows it,” he reiterated.

Kennedy later acknowledged Vance’s remarks, thanking him for the support while suggesting that he would address prevailing issues directly.

After the heated exchanges, White House communications echoed support for Kennedy. Press Director Caroline Leavitt stated that since Kennedy was often under attack, it indicated that the Trump administration was on the right path addressing the root causes of chronic illnesses.

Other officials, like Taylor Budwich, shared similar sentiments, arguing that Democrats seemed more focused on supporting outdated medical practices rather than genuinely improving health services.

This tumultuous hearing came on the heels of a significant number of HHS employees, over 1,000, calling for Kennedy’s resignation.

Wyden accused Kennedy of demonstrating chaotic management and corrupt practices that allegedly favor him and former President Trump, with resulting increases in healthcare costs.

Additions to the turmoil included claims from Wyden about Kennedy threatening healthcare providers who strayed from vaccination guidelines.

Kennedy defended his administration, asserting it was the most proactive in HHS history and discussing various health-related challenges being addressed, including food safety and drug pricing regulations.

He notably mentioned that the FDA was on pace to approve more drugs than ever this year, hinting at a significant push in health reforms. His remarks encompassed concerns from food contamination to the complexities of e-cigarette regulation, emphasizing an aggressive approach towards improving public health.

The Exchange concluded without immediate responses from key figures, including Committee Chairman Mike Crapo, Vice President Vance, and Senator Wyden, to inquiries for comment.
