Dak Prescott Shares His Take on the Spitting Incident

Jalen Carter Ejected from NFL Opener

In an unexpected turn of events, Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter was ejected from last night’s NFL season opener.

This incident occurred following a noticeable injury to Eagles fullback Ben Vance Mellen during the initial kickoff.

Quarterback Dak Prescott shared his perspective on the situation.

“Honestly, I probably say a thousand things during the game. I’m not particularly proud of that, especially on game days. But it felt like Carter was just messing around. I noticed him trying to provoke (Cowboys right guard) Tyler Booker,” he explained.

He described a moment where Carter made comments that seemed unnecessary, saying, “It felt like he was trying to humiliate me. We were just trying to manage a newcomer.” Prescott was clearly taken aback when Carter, in a surprising move, spat in his direction.

Prescott continued, “The referee must have seen it, but it didn’t seem like he realized what had happened.” He reflected on how Carter’s actions shifted their game strategy, noting, “It changed our blocking plans. We were already preparing for him, so it didn’t help the situation. Nobody wants to sit out a game; I think he probably regrets that moment.”

“Still, I know how eager we all are to kick off the season. I can’t help but feel a bit sorry for him, knowing he’ll be under a lot of scrutiny from the media and fans,” he concluded.
