Orlando Bloom Discusses Split from Katy Perry
Orlando Bloom has opened up about his breakup with Katy Perry while promoting his new film, “The Cut.” During an interview, he shared his feelings regarding the end of their nearly decade-long relationship, saying, “I’m great, man. I’m very grateful. We have the most beautiful daughter.” He expressed optimism, adding that, “It’s nothing but love.” This sentiment suggests a desire to remain amicable post-split.
The couple first started dating in 2016, split for a time in 2017, but rekindled their romance in 2018. Bloom proposed to Perry on Valentine’s Day in 2019. Shortly after that engagement, the couple welcomed their daughter, Daisy.
However, by late June, rumors of their separation began surfacing, especially when Bloom attended a wedding without Perry. They officially confirmed their split on July 3rd, stating that they had changed the nature of their relationship to focus on co-parenting. A representative for the couple noted that they were committed to raising their daughter with love and respect.
Since the breakup, Perry was spotted dining with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, which sparked speculation about a possible new romance. They were seen enjoying dinner in Montreal, and Trudeau attended one of Perry’s concerts, further fueling the gossip.
Bloom also shares a son named Flynn, 14, with ex-wife Miranda Kerr. Kerr weighed in on the situation, mentioning that they had all celebrated Daisy’s birthday together. She affectionately referred to Perry, saying, “Katie is amazing. I love her.” Kerr emphasized the importance of a healthy family dynamic, suggesting that negativity only harms everyone involved.
As both Bloom and Perry navigate this transition, it seems their focus primarily remains on co-parenting and maintaining a supportive environment for their children.
