Democratic Congresswomen Commend Planned Parenthood for Essential Healthcare

Democrat Puck highlighted the important bond between parents and children, aimed at delivering “life-saving care” on Wednesday. This initiative seeks to counter the Trump administration, as Planned Parenthood, often funded by taxpayer money, faces numerous clinic closures.

The Democrat Women’s Caucus, alongside the Conference on Reproductive Freedom, shared a video on X featuring over a dozen Democratic Congresswomen expressing their support for the organization. They’re pointing out that many have received considerable donations from Planned Parenthood’s independent political advocacy group.

“We value the lives of women,” stated Rep. Rose Delauro (D-CT).

“It’s essential to be present every single day,” added Rep. Nikema Williams (D-GA).

“We must deliver healthcare to those who require it, without exceptions,” remarked Rep. Suzanne Bonamich (D-OR). “Being there for those in need is vital,” emphasized Rep. Janel Bynum (R-OR).

“Without a supportive parent-child relationship, women across our nation lack access to reproductive health and necessary care,” asserted Rep. Julia Brownlee (D-CA).

“And this goes beyond just abortion services; it encompasses comprehensive women’s healthcare,” noted Rep. Andrew Salinas (D-OR).

“Access to critical health screenings and contraception, along with cancer screenings, is crucial,” expressed Rep. Kathy Caster (D-FL). “You are invaluable to our communities,” continued Rep. Judy Chew (D-CA).

“You bring comfort and security to thousands of women who find support at your doors,” stated Rep. Sylvia Garcia (D-TX).

“Each patient you aid is a profound act of love, compassion, and justice,” insisted Rep. Teresa Legger Fernandez (D-NM).

“Thank you for all your efforts. You have widespread support across the country,” concluded Rep. Deborah Ross (D-NC).

The video also featured Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Rep. Lamonica Mciver (D-NJ), Rep. Maggie Goodlander (D-NH), and Rep. Grace Meng (D-NY).

Interestingly, lawmakers did not address the controversial issue of fetal planning related to the over 400,000 abortions reported between 2023 and 2024 as per the organization’s recent annual report.
