Influencer quit job at NASA to explore the world, nearly dies

The influencer, who once pursued a degree in aerospace engineering and even interned at NASA, decided to take a different route and explore the world. Adam Boro spoke about his remarkable travels and the value of embracing risks.

“Initially, I was all set on engineering, thinking it would lead to my dream job as an astronaut at NASA. But after graduating, I felt it was time to take a leap of faith,” he shared.

Currently, Boro showcases his adventures across social media, boasting over a million followers on both Instagram and TikTok.

He recounts two significant experiences that profoundly impacted his life, turning them into unforgettable journeys.

Boro’s journey led him to Nicaragua in 2024, where he participated in the challenging Fuego Y Agua Survival Run, a grueling event involving volcano climbing.

“It starts on the beach, then you trek through the jungle and scale the volcano in sweltering heat. It’s a 20-mile loop — up and down the volcano and then back to the beach,” he explained.

Despite staying hydrated, he faced dehydration during the race, highlighting the importance of the kindness of strangers.

“I only made it because another runner was so generous. I was struggling and barely able to keep moving. He asked if I needed water and gave me his last bottle,” Boro recounted. “Honestly, it felt like a divine moment.”

Another unforgettable adventure occurred in Lebanon in 2021, when a friend decided to push boundaries.

“He blindfolded me and drove for two hours before letting me out in an unknown location in Lebanon. It was exhilarating,” he mentioned.

Boro expressed some initial concern for his safety but ended up having a delightful experience among many welcoming locals.

He enjoyed a meal at a restaurant and spent the day with a local who introduced him to his friends and showed him around town.

“We spent the day together. He was so friendly and introduced me to people, providing me with tea and food,” Boro said, though he cautioned that he wouldn’t necessarily recommend such an approach to others.

Reflecting on his trips—from Central America to the Middle East—Boro noted that these experiences helped him rediscover his faith in humanity.

In his posts, Boro aims to promote a more optimistic perspective on the world.

“When you put down your phone and step outside, you can discover incredible experiences, meet amazing people, and witness beautiful places that contribute to your growth,” he stated.

Adam Boro made an appearance on “Fox & Friends” and will return Monday morning at 6:50 AM ET.
