Drake White and Wife Share Heartbreaking News
Drake White and his wife, Alex, have publicly mourned the loss of their daughter, Della Elizabeth White, through a heartfelt message on social media shared on Sunday.
In their Instagram post, they expressed, “On Sunday, August 31st, our precious daughter, Della Elizabeth White, went peacefully with Jesus. We are very grateful for the holy moment God has given her and us.”
The singer, known for his faith-inspired music, offered comfort to Alex as she held Della in the hospital while sharing memories and biblical verses.
Sadly, Della was born premature at 29 weeks, weighing 3 pounds, 3.5 ounces and measuring 13.25 inches. She arrived on August 31st at 8:52 AM and, just 20 minutes later, “went peacefully with Jesus.”
Amidst their grief, the couple shared, “During these difficult times, the Lord was close to us. He embraced us and supported us through it all. We are heartbroken and our souls are tired, but we know that we can overcome this painful time with the strength, peace, and joy that only our Heavenly Father can provide.”
In their message, they reflected on their deep sorrow, mentioning, “May Della be held in Jesus’ arms until one day we see her again.” They included two biblical verses that resonated with their experience.
Drake and Alex celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary in June and are parents to a two-year-old son, William Hawk. They had previously announced plans for a second child, sharing their fertility journey in a conversation with People Magazine.
“We were able to get pregnant through IVF and we did a frozen embryo transfer in March. We found out we were expecting just 10 days later, with a due date scheduled for November,” they noted.
