Dodgers Achieve No-Hitter Against Rockies

The Los Angeles Dodgers completed an impressive feat by recording their first no-hitter of the 2025 MLB season, marking a significant achievement just three days into the season. They defeated the Colorado Rockies with a score of 3-1 at Dodger Stadium on Monday.

Starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow was pivotal in the game, throwing seven innings without allowing a single hit. However, he did issue two walks and gave up a run due to one of those walks in the second inning. It’s interesting, though, how he managed to dominate despite those few slips.

In the eighth inning, the Dodgers looked to Blake Trainen, who maintained the no-hitter with an effective, hitless frame. The closing inning saw Tanner Scott take the mound, but, somewhat ironically, he allowed the Rockies’ first hit right off the bat—a double from Ryan Ritter over a leaping attempt by left fielder Alex. Still, Scott managed to close out the game by retiring the next three batters.

Just a few days earlier, the Dodgers had a tough outing against the Baltimore Orioles, where they also pitched into the ninth with no hits before ultimately losing the game. Starting pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto had a great showing, striking out ten over eight no-hit innings, only to be taken down by a solo home run from Jackson Holiday that gave the Orioles a lead.

Hopelessly exciting moments unfolded then; Trainen took over but struggled, leading to a chaotic finish where the Orioles clinched a walk-off win. While it was a tough loss, the Dodgers managed to redeem themselves on Monday, hoping to carry this momentum into their upcoming game Tuesday night against the Rockies.

Overall, the Dodgers’ journey reflects the unpredictable nature of baseball, filled with both triumphs and setbacks, keeps fans on edge. Their season is just beginning, but one thing is clear: they are aiming high.
