Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees Hits 359th Home Run

Aaron Judge, the standout player for the New York Yankees, made headlines on Tuesday night by hitting his 359th career home run. This impressive achievement places him among the franchise’s all-time greats, surpassing Hall of Fame catcher Yogi Berra on the home runs leaderboard.

In the first inning of the game against the Detroit Tigers, Judge connected with a full-count splitter from pitcher Casey Mize. The ball soared to right-center field, granting the Yankees an early lead of 1-0. Judge’s 44th home run of the season traveled an impressive 412 feet, sporting an exit velocity of 110.6 mph.

This moment comes after Judge’s earlier performance, where he also hit a solo home run against Martin Perez on August 31, contributing to a 3-2 loss against the Chicago White Sox.

Speaking about the legendary Yankees like Babe Ruth (659 home runs), Mickey Mantle (536), Lou Gehrig (493), and Joe DiMaggio (361), Judge is steadily climbing the ranks on the team’s career home runs list, which has become a point of pride for fans.

Reflecting on his journey, Judge was drafted by the Yankees in the first round of the 2013 amateur draft and made his debut on August 13, 2016. It’s hard to think of the franchise’s history without acknowledging the impact of legends like Yogi Berra, who passed away in 2015 at the age of 90, leaving behind a remarkable legacy.
