Kendall Jenner Plans to Step Back from Modeling
Kendall Jenner, now 29, has expressed her desire to simplify her life, stepping away from her prominent modeling career and seeking to escape the limelight.
She made her reality TV debut at just 11 years old on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” growing up in a family that thrived in the public eye. Now, although her family has secured a new deal with Hulu for more content, Jenner has been open about her shifting priorities. In a recent conversation with Vogue, she revealed that the family show isn’t her main focus anymore.
“I swear to God, I just stop everything and design my house. I’m not kidding,” she shared during the interview, highlighting her passion for home design alongside fellow model Gigi Hadid. She further commented on her lifestyle, saying, “I love the spaces in Los Angeles, but I also love a simple life. I wake up, throw on swimsuits and sweatpants, no makeup, and I’m free for the day.”
Jenner, who tends to be a homebody, enjoys feeling like a “normal” person on days when she’s not on the runway. She mentioned, “I love going to horse shows like everyone else, wearing my helmet and uniform, competing under a different name.” It’s a different world away from luxury brands and high fashion.
Debuting in the modeling scene back in 2007, she quickly rose to fame as one of the highest-paid models globally. In a podcast appearance in August 2024, Jenner reflected on her childhood amid the family’s rise to fame. “We went to school as much as we could and even homeschooled for Grades 11 and 12,” she noted, reminiscing about maintaining friendships from her pre-fame days.
Acknowledging that her upbringing wasn’t always straightforward, she remarked, “I think I’m really grateful because it could have been worse.” She also shared her gratitude for the stability and support her family provided, crediting her older brother for giving them guidance.
Overall, Jenner seems ready for a new chapter, looking forward to a quieter life marked by her personal interests rather than public scrutiny.
