Charlie Kirk's assassination is a recent instance showing that the U.S. is facing a wave of violence driven by the left.

We are currently facing a troubling rise in leftist violence.

The shocking assassination of conservative youth leader Charlie Kirk, 31, during a packed event in Utah on Wednesday, represents the extreme hostility directed towards individuals associated with President Trump and his movement.

It’s particularly tragic that Kirk’s murder occurred just a day before the trial of Ryan Rouse, one of the individuals involved in a prior assassination attempt on Trump during the 2024 campaign.

Kirk had a keen awareness of the consequences stemming from increasing violent rhetoric on the left.

Two months prior, he tweeted, “The assassination culture is spreading to the left.” He noted that 48% of liberals feel that killing Elon Musk could be justified, while 55% felt similarly about Donald Trump.

In California, activists label voting measures with names that reflect violence, like “CEO killer” Luigi Mangione.

There’s a pervasive belief that any setback—be it an election loss or a legal challenge—warrants severe retaliation.

Despite what left-leaning media outlets might suggest, political violence appears to stem mostly from the left.

Encouragement of Dem

Reflect on the deadly BLM-Antifa riots from the summer of 2020, which were implicitly endorsed by Democrats like Kamala Harris as a means to undermine then-President Trump. They sought to divert attention from Trump’s motivations during the J6 Capitol Riot.

Additionally, Trump survived two assassination attempts last year, one narrowly avoiding a fatal shot.

Acts of arson and vandalism targeting Tesla dealers were aimed at punishing Elon Musk for his support of Trump.

Recently, the assassination of Israeli Embassy staffer Jaron Lisinski and his fiancée Sarah Lynn Milgrim by Palestinian activists was reported. Also, UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was killed by a wealthy leftist critical of corporate greed.

An assassination attempt was made on Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh at his Maryland residence, and let’s not forget the leftist shooter who targeted Republicans during the 2017 Congressional baseball practices.

Even attacks on Governor Josh Shapiro’s home, sometimes portrayed as bipartisan violence, were the work of left-wing activists.

Charlie Kirk always advocated for respectful civic discourse. Contrary to claims made by some media outlets when he died, he was not a figure of division or hate.

Kirk reached out to youth, fostering dialogue. He was patient and respectful. He often invited students to challenge his views and presented his opinions with a smile, asserting beliefs such as capitalism’s superiority over socialism and the existence of only two genders.

His inclusive approach won him many supporters among young people and established him as a significant political influence, potentially aiding Trump’s prospects in 2024.

Those political adversaries who accused him of spreading hate were deviating from the truth—Kirk was not divisive; rather, he resonated with many young Americans.

Plainspoken Truth

Kirk spoke candidly, unafraid to tackle uncomfortable truths. He addressed the grim reality that America faces.

His protective instincts were underscored following the random murder of a Ukrainian refugee, Irina Zaltoska.

In one of his last tweets, he remarked on the need to politicize the senseless murder of Irina.

Kirk lamented the ineffectiveness of criminal justice reform and claimed that misleading narratives surrounding George Floyd’s death contributed to violence like Irina’s murder.

He criticized flawed reforms, such as cash bail policies, which were based on perceived systemic racism.

Kirk openly challenged the lies spread by Democrats, holding them accountable for their actions.

Reportedly, when Rep. Lauren Boebert called for prayers for Kirk during a House session, many Democrats protested loudly.

In his final tweet about Irina, Kirk wrote, “America will never be the same,” paired with a photo of her.

After his tragic shooting on campus, people around him reacted in shock and horror.

Kirk had no idea that just over 12 hours later, he would lose his life.

Indeed, America has changed.

Yet, Kirk’s death could also serve as a pivotal moment, reflective of his life’s work.

Consider all he accomplished in just 31 years.

He shaped future leaders, delivering clear, logical arguments, softened by understanding, and viewing the world through his faith.

Even in death, his legacy could inspire further change—promoting values like marriage and parenthood, and empowering others to better the world.

Ultimately, it is up to all well-meaning Americans to carry forward his mission.
