Trump meets Yankees star Aaron Judge, who hits 2 home runs

Trump Praises Yankees’ Judge Amid MLB Highlights

President Donald Trump recently showed his admiration for Yankees superstar Aaron Judge, who is on the verge of winning his third MVP award in four seasons. Following a 9-3 win over the Detroit Tigers, Judge was hailed as a “fantastic player” during a club visit. This meeting coincided with the 24th anniversary of the September 11 attacks.

In the clubhouse, Trump commented on Judge’s impressive physique, saying, “If you have that much muscle, you have to hit more balls. You’re a great player.” He even made a light-hearted remark that the player might want Trump to be “a little bigger.”

During the game, Judge celebrated two home runs, marking his 45th and 46th of the season. This achievement puts him in a tie with baseball legend Joe DiMaggio for fourth on the Yankees’ all-time home run list.

Fans welcomed Trump with enthusiasm, and chants of “America” filled the stadium, although he faced some boos when he stepped up to his plate. Nevertheless, he ended the night with a commendable 3-4 at-bat performance.

As it stands, Judge is leading the MVP race but is in competition with Seattle Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh, who has an MLB-high 53 home runs this season despite a batting average lower than Judge’s. If Judge secures the award this year, he would be the first Yankee to win it consecutively since Roger Maris in the early ’60s, and the first since DiMaggio to win three MVPs within a four-year span.

Additionally, Judge has amassed 100 RBIs this season and joins the elite club of players who have hit 50 home runs in a season alongside legends like Babe Ruth and Sammy Sosa.
