Erica Kirk Addresses Public Following Tragic Loss
Erica Kirk, wife of Turning Point USA’s founder, gave her first public address on Friday. This was just two days after her husband was tragically killed during the initial stop of her “American Comeback Tour” at Utah Valley University.
During her speech, Erica reflected on her husband’s legacy, emphasizing his deep love for the United States and his fervor for his faith in Jesus Christ.
“Two days ago, my husband, Charlie, went to be with the Lord. He always said he wanted to be remembered for his courage and faith,” she shared. “In one of his last conversations, he spoke of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.”
She added, “Now and forever, he stands by his Savior and wears the glorious crown of a martyr.”
Erica urged attendees to embrace the mission of spreading the gospel, especially if they weren’t already church members. “But most importantly, if you’re not part of a church, I invite you to join a Bible-believing congregation,” she implored. “Our battle transcends politics. Most significantly, it is spiritual.”
She continued, “Charlie adored his Savior and wanted everyone to know Him. He believed that anyone who confessed the Lord Jesus Christ would be saved.”
“And when I say this, please ask questions. No one is too young to learn the gospel, and no one is too old. I know my husband is still watching over us.”

Charlie Kirk, who was 31, leaves behind his wife Erica and their two young children. The individual charged with his assassination has been arrested; he is 22-year-old Tyler Robinson.
Charlie’s remains were transported back to Air Force 2 in Phoenix, Arizona, where Vice President J.D. Vance oversaw the military honor guard during the escort.
President Donald Trump expressed his intention to honor Charlie Kirk posthumously with the President’s Medal of Freedom and confirmed plans to attend his funeral on Friday.
