A speakeasy in Times Square is having its uniquely shaped glasses stolen.

They raise their glasses and often take them home.

Employees at the speakeasy inspired by the ’80s have shared posts highlighting their issue with patrons who sometimes swipe their uniquely designed glasses.

This bar, located on West 47th Avenue, evokes the spirit of Times Square during the ’80s, where adult entertainment establishments were plentiful. Guests can enjoy cocktails alongside the allure of a sex shop environment right at the entrance.

One cocktail, a blend of whiskey and pomegranate, is served in a glass shaped like a woman’s body. Another drink, called “panty drawers,” combines mezcal, chipotle, and watermelon, presented in a similar curvy glass.

“People are particularly fond of the glasses we affectionately refer to as ‘butt glass,'” bartender Tara McDermott remarked.

Customers seem to love these glasses so much that they often leave with them, even after a night out.

Tara noted, “Just the other day, a woman was ready to leave with three of those glasses in her bag.” She added, “We break at least one or two boxes daily, and they keep disappearing.”

Woo Woo opened its doors in 2022 and offers its distinctively shaped glasses for purchase at $32 a set on Amazon. General Manager Neil McDonnell mentioned that about 70 people have reportedly been recorded taking glasses home.

“I don’t have a secret supplier; it’s just good ol’ Jeff Bezos,” McDonnell joked.

Recently, the bar even posted a video on Instagram showing a bartender pouring drinks into one of the glasses, leading to playful comments about the “theft.”

McDermott noted that many guests don’t seem to feel guilty about the pilfered glassware. “Some even reminisce and think, ‘Can I buy it instead?'” server Grace Frasch commented.

Though customers ask to buy the glasses, McDonnell isn’t keen on selling them, stating that “we can’t afford to let them go.”

In addition to the glasses, other items like the “Coke Shot” have mysteriously vanished. This shot comes with 50 vinyl record pieces and a fun twist where customers lick their fingers and take a shot after mimicking a line of pixie sticks, reminiscent of other substances.

McDermott mentioned the ongoing issue, “We can’t even track how many of these have gone missing. We create new ones every day.”
