Suspected Assassin of Charlie Kirk Lived with Transgender Partner
Concerns surrounding Charlie Kirk’s potential assassin have emerged, revealing that Tyler Robinson, 22, shared an apartment in St. George, Utah, with a transgender individual, as confirmed by a senior FBI official. According to the FBI, Robinson’s partner plays a significant role in the ongoing investigation.
In a statement, an FBI representative described Robinson’s partner as “very supportive.” Interestingly, sources indicate that there were indications Robinson was plotting an assassination against the founder of Turning Point USA. However, no charges have currently been filed against the partner regarding this specific threat.
The FBI has gathered text messages and other forms of communication between Robinson and his partner, which aided in advancing their investigation. Law enforcement indicated that they had collected various pieces of evidence from the couple’s apartment, including computers that are currently under examination at Quantico.
What We Know About Tyler Robinson
While the FBI has not commented on the prospect of charging Robinson’s partner with any crime, they did emphasize that they are receiving an unprecedented amount of tips related to the case. “Every connection will be scrutinized to ensure justice is served,” remarked an FBI spokesman.
Robinson’s apartment was not far from the community where he grew up in southern Utah, about four hours away from Utah Valley University, where Kirk was fatally shot. Kirk was speaking to an audience when the incident occurred; a shot believed to come from a nearby roof ended his life. Kirk, 31, was a married father of two.
Just before the shooting, an audience member asked Kirk a question about transgender Americans and mass shootings. His response, “Too many,” was followed by another query regarding the overall number of mass shooters in the U.S. Kirk’s reply led to his tragic assassination shortly after.
Sources relayed that Robinson’s father, recognizing his son from surveillance footage released during a 33-hour manhunt, ultimately turned him in to the authorities. In a concerning twist, it’s reported that Robinson mentioned suicidal thoughts when he arrived at his father’s home.
Additionally, the FBI discovered ammunition associated with the shooting, which bore anti-fascist inscriptions. Utah Governor Spencer Cox confirmed these details during a recent press conference, indicating that the ammunition was found near the campus.
