New evidence has come to light indicating that Tyler Robinson, accused of assassinating conservative activist Charlie Kirk, made light of the situation with a friend, joking about his “doppelganger” being responsible for Kirk’s death.
Reportedly, Robinson began to laugh about this with friends after sharing blurry images of the suspect in connection to Kirk’s assassination:
One friend pointed out a resemblance, noting that Robinson’s name pops up in an FBI image post. – Complete with a skull.
Robinson was charged with fatally shooting Kirk in Utah on Wednesday, and he reportedly made comments that could be interpreted as flippant, saying things like “let’s get me in trouble.”
In response, another user exclaimed, “Tyler killed Charlie!!!”
Another participant in the chat humorously suggested Robinson turn himself in for the FBI’s $100,000 reward, while another brought up the arrest of Brian Thompson, the CEO of Unified Healthcare.
“Whatever you do, don’t rush to McDonald’s right after,” he advised Robinson.
According to reports, there are conflicting accounts regarding Robinson’s romantic involvement, with speculation shifting between male and female partners, while he appears to hold left-leaning views.
Charlie Kirk, who was 31, was shot during a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University. He leaves behind a wife and two children. President Donald Trump expressed his condolences upon hearing the news of Kirk’s passing.
“The great and legendary Charlie Kirk is gone,” wrote Trump. “No one understood the youth of America better than Charlie. He was a close ally to me, and it’s heartbreaking to know he’s no longer with us. My heartfelt condolences to his family, especially to his lovely wife Erica. Charlie, you will be missed!”
