Cristin Milioti from 'Penguin' receives a new Emmy and suffers a harsh fall while arriving at the afterparty.

Falcone’s Brutal Fall

Christine Milioti made a notable appearance at the Emmy Awards, where she took home her first Primetime Emmy Award for her performance in “Penguin.” However, things took a turn later that night during the afterparty in Los Angeles.

The 40-year-old actress literally stumbled onto the scene, hitting the ground as she lost her footing and dropped her Emmy.

A video that’s making the rounds online shows Milioti, clad in a black leather jacket, all smiles before the unfortunate incident occurred.

As she approached the venue, Milioti suddenly fell, her golden trophy slipping from her grasp. A bystander rushed to help, quickly retrieving the Emmy from the pavement.

“What a god,” Milioti could be heard exclaiming, seeing her Emmy lying on the ground.

After her fall, Milioti managed to laugh it off, joining the festivities at the party with her trophy back in hand.

She playfully addressed the crowd, saying, “Thank you, goodbye!” acknowledging those who witnessed the stumble.

Milioti earned the award for her compelling role as Sophia Falcone in HBO’s “The Batman” spinoff series, triumphing over strong contenders like Cate Blanchett and Rashida Jones.

Dressed in a stunning crimson gown, she expressed her gratitude during her acceptance speech, saying, “It’s very hard to understand that I’m living in this world right now, so I’m deeply grateful for the bright spot.” Milioti highlighted the joy of working with the exceptional cast and crew, describing the experience as both exhilarating and daunting.

She thanked her family, co-star Colin Farrell, and the show’s creator, Lauren Lefran.

Wrapping up her speech, Milioti closed her eyes and fondly declared, “I love you and I love acting so much!”

In a follow-up interview post-ceremony, Milioti reflected on her win, saying that when her name was announced, it felt like her “spirit left her body.” She humorously noted how nerves can affect her speeches, often forgetting her lines amidst the adrenaline rush. Yet, she remained optimistic about celebrating with her cast and crew at the afterparty.
