Turning Point USA overwhelmed with chapter requests

Turning Point USA reports receiving a surge of inquiries from individuals eager to establish new chapters in high schools and colleges in the wake of the tragic shooting of its conservative founder, Charlie Kirk, last week.

Andrew Corvette, executive producer of the Charlie Kirk Show, mentioned that the organization has been inundated with requests for over 37,000 new chapters.

Currently, TPUSA has 900 official college chapters and approximately 1,200 high school branches, consolidating a total presence of around 3,500. Corvette noted on X that Charlie’s aim to have a “Club America Chapter” at every high school in the U.S. — about 23,000 in total — is progressing faster than anticipated.

Kirk has been especially revered by younger conservatives, who often find themselves feeling sidelined among their more liberal classmates.

The producer highlighted that there’s also a significant interest in job and volunteering opportunities within the organization, with many individuals reaching out to offer help.

Kirk, 31, known for his close ties to President Trump, was shot during an event at Utah Valley University on September 10th, an incident that has reverberated through conservative communities. He was lauded for his articulate advocacy of traditional values.

In the aftermath of his death, Kirk’s widow, Erica, expressed admiration for the surge in new chapter requests. She encouraged young people inspired by her husband’s commitment to hard work to get involved with their local Turning Point USA chapters.

“If you’re in high school or college, find the local chapter. Join. Get involved. I want him to make a difference,” she stated, urging those without a chapter to take the initiative to start one.

Following the shooting, searches for Turning Point USA on Google saw an increase of 455%, particularly after Erica recently took on some of her husband’s responsibilities.
