As a toast was raised in Uecker’s honor, Murphy urged, “Let’s celebrate this win, our team, and all we’ve accomplished.” The Brewers are looking strong this season, holding the best record in MLB at 91-58. They’ve now made the playoffs in seven of the last eight years, but they’re chasing their first World Series title since 1982.

Uecker had been with the Brewers since the early ’70s and continued to broadcast games until 2024. Throughout the current season, players have worn patches on their jerseys in honor of Uecker, commemorating his legacy with the organization.
