Jamie Lee Curtis becomes emotional while talking about the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

Jamie Lee Curtis became emotional while discussing Charlie Kirk, referring to him as a “man of faith” after his assassination. She felt a deep connection to his spirituality.

“I need to mention something that’s really close to my heart. Charlie Crist was killed two days ago,” Curtis, 66, said on Mark Maron’s “WTF” podcast on Monday.

The comedian corrected her, pointing out that it was “Kirk, not Crist,” to which the “Halloween” star quickly acknowledged her mistake.

Fighting back tears, she noted that politically, she didn’t share many beliefs with Kirk, stating, “I opposed him on almost every point,” but emphasized his faith.

“I truly believe he was a man of faith. I hope he felt that connection when he passed,” Curtis expressed.

She added, “His ideas may have been abhorrent to me, yet I recognize him as a father, husband, and devoted individual of faith.”

Curtis lamented how society is bombarded with violent imagery, questioning the long-term psychological effects of repeatedly witnessing traumatic events, including the 9/11 attacks and the footage of Kirk’s “execution,” which she suggested is shown too often.

“I really don’t want to see this footage of someone being shot,” she said, struggling to hold back tears.

Kirk, 31, was fatally shot while speaking at Utah Valley University during the “American Comeback Tour” on September 10th, sparking a multi-day manhunt that concluded with the arrest of the alleged shooter, Tyler Robinson.

Turning Point USA, the conservative nonprofit founded by Kirk in 2012, honored him by highlighting his deep faith, saying he wished to be remembered for that above all else.

Former President Trump was the first to announce Kirk’s death publicly, stating that his close associates would receive the President’s Medal of Freedom.

Robinson, 22, from St. George, Utah, reportedly refused to cooperate with the FBI during their investigation after his arrest.
