On Tuesday, Eric Trump remarked that his father, former President Trump, regarded Charlie Kirk as a “second son.”
Kirk has had a relationship with Trump for over a decade, first introducing his organization, Turning Point USA, to him.
As Eric noted, Kirk’s initiative turned out to be what he had described ten years ago, leading to a close friendship with the former president.
“He has become like a second son to my father,” Eric shared.
“He stood by us through everything. I was right there with him countless times. He was truly an outstanding individual.”
Kirk, aged 31, was tragically killed last week during a speaking event at Utah State University.
There have been two previous assassination attempts on Trump’s life before the upcoming 2024 election; one happened at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, and another occurred while he was golfing in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Eric Trump has condemned these shocking incidents tied to what he describes as left-wing elitism.
“I often talk about the law of unintended consequences, and they’ve made some of the worst decisions imaginable,” Eric said. He continued, addressing the attempts made on Trump’s life and now on Kirk’s. “They tried it against my father in Butler. Then on the golf course. And now, Charlie.”
“This raises questions about the swing states and the popular vote,” he added, hinting at broader implications. “It’s all rooted in the madness where no one can afford to fall behind.”
The concept of unintended consequences refers to unexpected effects that stem from deliberate actions.
Since Kirk’s passing, Turning Point USA has seen a surge in interest, with the demand for new chapters exceeding 37,000. The nonprofit announced that its presence on college and high school campuses will increase nearly twentyfold.
