Trans Rider Who Celebrated Charlie Kirk's Passing Distanced by US Olympic BMX Team

The US Olympic women’s BMX team has distanced itself from a former member after controversial social media posts regarding the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

Chelsea Wolf, a transgender athlete who was an alternate for the US BMX team at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, shared a series of posts celebrating Kirk’s death shortly after it occurred. In response, Team USA clarified that Wolf is no longer associated with them.

“The views expressed by past and present national team members are individual opinions and do not represent US cycling,” the team stated. “Chelsea Wolf has not been part of the US cycling national team since 2023.”

In her posts, Wolf, identifying as a woman, expressed approval of Kirk’s assassination, declaring, “We did it.”

One of her posts included the statement:

“Being n *** is completely optional…”

In another post, Wolf shared an image of the cartoon character Dora, captioned: “We did that!”

Her subsequent message was more explicit. Accompanied by an image of herself smiling and giving a thumbs-up, she remarked, “Being a Nazi is not entirely an option. He didn’t have to go that far, but he did.”

In yet another post, Wolf stated, “I hate it because the Nazis want us to die.”

There were numerous similar posts following the assassination.

“He wasn’t just some conservative we disagreed with; he was a fascist organizer spreading hate,” Wolf wrote in another post.

“If you feel compelled to mourn his family, that’s your personal choice,” she added. “But don’t criticize others for rejecting him. This won’t make you a ‘better person.’

Wolf had previously stirred controversy for saying that winning would mean allowing the American flag to be burned “on the podium.”

“My goal is to win the Olympics, and during the pandemic, we aim to support trans kids,” she remarked.

In a video, Wolf also made alarming comments toward those against trans athletes, suggesting they should take drastic actions.
