Gimme Shelter has discovered that a new mansion is being constructed on the site where a previous home owned by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie once stood. This property had been on the market during the summer.
The impressive residence located at 495 Ox Pasture Road in Southampton is expected to be finished by the end of the year, according to Tim Davis of Corcoran, who listed the property alongside his son, Thomas Davis.
The current owner purchased the original home, which was built in 1995, for $12.7 million in 2022, later listing it for $14.45 million. Ultimately, they chose to demolish the old structure and start fresh.
Pitt and Jolie lived in their former residence back in 2006. At that time, paparazzi were known to hover above in helicopters, trying to capture images of the couple.
“They flew so low that it was a bit unnerving for her, like the chopper could hit the house,” a source noted.
The couple formally divorced last year after a protracted and contentious separation.
The new mansion is roughly 12,000 square feet and boasts an elevator, 12 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, and three powder rooms on a sprawling 2.2-acre lot.
Outdoors, you’ll find a large 60-foot pool, a pool house, a renovated tennis court, and an elegantly landscaped garden filled with what Tim Davis described as “millions of dollars” worth of mature trees and boundary plantings.
“The house is set back from the road and truly embodies the essence of real estate here. There’s nothing else like it in Southampton,” he remarked.
Designed by Martin Architects and constructed by Koral Brothers Builders, the property features a spacious lobby leading to a living room with a pool, garden, and expansive glass walls overlooking the tennis court.
The main floor also includes an open kitchen, living area, library, and home office, along with a large guest suite and an additional suite for guests or staff.
On the second floor, there’s a main bedroom suite with two spa-like bathrooms and separate guest suites. The lower level offers amenities like a gym, home theater, wine storage, and sauna rooms.
