Missing Florida Woman During Cross-Country Trip

A woman from Florida has gone missing during a road trip across the country, having sent worrying photos to her mother before her disappearance.

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help in locating 38-year-old Ganna Kovrizhynkh, who has been unaccounted for since July. Reports indicate she was last heard from on July 5th while driving through San Diego County, with her friend officially reported missing on July 12, 2025. Her vehicle and trailer were found abandoned in Potrero, a small community close to the Mexican border.

Concerning details about her last communications have emerged. On July 5th, Kovrizhynkh’s mother received a photo featuring a letter from Potrero, California, along with GPS coordinates. The letter instructed her mother to seize her personal property. A week later, authorities found a trailer associated with Kovrizhynkh’s Jeep Grand Cherokee and camper van in the Potrero Park Drive area.

Sheriff’s detectives suspect she might have crossed into the Tecate region of Baja California, Mexico, and she is also known to use the alias “Angel Volnaya.”

Officials are still gathering information and haven’t ruled out any possibilities in her case. “Currently, we don’t have any indication of whether foul play is involved or if she left on her own,” noted Jacob Krepach, as reported by NBC San Diego.

Records reveal that her last known residence was in Hallandale Beach, Florida, with business ties in Sunny Isles Beach. A registered agent at her business location mentioned that they hadn’t had contact with her for several months.

Kovrizhynkh is described as 5’5” tall, weighing around 100 pounds, with blonde hair, blue eyes, and some arm tattoos. There’s a possibility she might be wearing a wig.
