Candiace Dillard Basset Forms Bond with Donna Kelce on “The Traitors”
Candiace Dillard Basset has developed a special relationship with Donna Kelce in the next season of “The Traitors.”
“Donna is truly an American mom,” the former “Real Housewives of Potomac” star shared during an interview with Page 6’s Evan Real and Danny Murphy at the “VRT” awards hosted by Tri-State Cadillac and Malibu.
With a playful tone, Dillard Basset mentioned, “I’m still waiting for her to bake some cookies for me, and by the way, she borrows my Kansas City Chiefs tickets.”
The 38-year-old reality star noted that contacting Kelce can be quite challenging, jokingly suggesting she might need to broadcast a message to grab her co-star’s attention.
Dillard Basset described the 72-year-old Kelce as a “jewel,” expressing that the entire cast appreciates how much she cares for them.
She also mentioned that Donna enjoys “Big Reality TV” and often discusses the shows she watches.
“Donna is so cool. Just look at her sons,” Dillard Basset remarked, pointing out Jason and Travis Kelce’s successes.
“She’s got these amazing, accomplished sons, and she’s as cool as a cucumber when it comes to the shows she follows,” Dillard Basset continued.
The “Drive Back” singer, who performed at the awards ceremony, hinted that Donna should definitely be there next year given her love for reality TV.
In June, both Donna and Dillard Basset were confirmed as part of the cast for “The Traitors.”
Kelce shared a clip on Instagram, stating, “Sunday was just the beginning,” highlighting her excitement about participating. “I’ve raised two playmakers, and now it’s Mom’s turn,” she added.
The upcoming season of “The Traitors,” set to release in early 2026, will also feature contestants from shows like “Survivor,” “Dancing with the Stars,” and “Love Island.” Contestants will compete for a prize of $250,000 by completing a series of challenges in a murder mystery setting.
