Kimmel Was Fired for Promoting Harmful Falsehoods

Comedian Rob Schneider expressed disappointment over fellow comic Mike Birbiglia’s claim that Jimmy Kimmel would be taken off the air.

“I’ll reach out to Mike Birbiglia who insists it’s about free speech!” Schneider stated on a recent post. “Kimmel is spreading a harmful narrative, alleging that Charlie Kirk was killed by a Maga Republican, when, in fact, it was another cold-blooded leftist.”

“Kimmel will be airing at the risk of losing Disney/ABC licenses, which is, frankly, something the FCC chairman warned about. Yet, all Nexstar affiliates have signaled they’ve had enough of Kimmel’s antics!” Schneider continued.

“Thanks, Nexstar!! Free speech shouldn’t come with consequences!” he added.

“During Covid, Kimmel said unvaccinated individuals shouldn’t be treated in hospitals. That’s just wrong!” Schneider remarked.

“Where was Mike Birbiglia when that was happening?! He was silent during Covid!” proclaimed Schneider.

“People have asked if I’d take Kimmel’s spot. Sure, but I’d donate every cent to Charlie and Erica Kirk’s kids!” he said, adding, “But honestly, I’d rather go back to the top comedy show, the Tony Hinchcliffe show!”

According to reports, ABC, Disney, and Nexstar decided to pull Jimmy Kimmel Live! following Kimmel’s controversial remarks about Kirk’s assassination, where he mistakenly identified the perpetrator as potentially linked to the “Maga” movement.

Nexstar stated, “Kimmel’s comments about Kirk’s death are inflammatory and thoughtless, especially during such a sensitive time in our country’s political dialogue,” adding that they are committed to fostering more respectful conversations.

As for Mike Birbiglia, he clarified that claims about Kimmel being taken off air are false and that it’s an issue of free speech.

“If you’re a comedian and aren’t denouncing the call to remove Kimmel, then don’t talk about free speech anymore,” Birbiglia said.

Meanwhile, the suspect in Kirk’s case, Tyler Robinson, has distanced himself from the “Maga” label, stating that he had become fed up with the hatred and acknowledged filming the founder of Turning Point USA.

This controversy has emerged amid ongoing discussions to mislabel Kirk as a “fascist” within certain leftist circles.
