Tragic Death of Pizza Factory Worker in West Milwaukee

A worker at a pizza factory in West Milwaukee was sadly killed when a robotic plane crushed him during his shift, according to local authorities.

The victim has been identified as 45-year-old Robert Cheron from Elkhorn, who was employed at the Palermo facility around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene following reports of the industrial accident but sadly confirmed that Cheron was deceased despite their attempts to provide aid.

The West Milwaukee Police Department is currently investigating the incident, with support from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Milwaukee County Examination Office.

As of now, it’s unclear how Cheron became trapped in the machinery.

“The accident that took the life of an employee today is truly horrifying and will be thoroughly investigated,” stated Rebecca Singke, a spokesperson for Palermo.

The company is actively cooperating with government officials to collect information and has extended support to Cheron’s family, offering counseling services for employees during this difficult time.

Interestingly, according to his LinkedIn profile, Cheron was a bakery manager at the Palermo facility. He had a long history in the food production industry and was known for his commitment to his craft among colleagues.

The Wisconsin AFL-CIO, the state’s largest labor organization, also issued a statement. They emphasized the importance of collaboration among workers, employers, and government agencies to ensure that everyone can return home safely after their workday.

Efforts are ongoing to gather more details about this tragic event.
