Shooting at Nashua Country Club Results in One Fatality
Authorities reported that one person was killed and several others injured during a shooting at the Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua, New Hampshire, on Saturday. The suspect is now in police custody.
Details about the incident are somewhat scarce, but the New Hampshire Attorney General’s office shared that a man entered the country club and discharged multiple rounds. Some victims sustained gunshot wounds, while others were injured in different ways; however, the total number of those injured has not been disclosed.
The shooter, who hasn’t been named yet, was captured at the scene. According to the Attorney General’s office, there is “no current threat to the public.”

Initially, reports suggested that two armed individuals had fled the scene, with one suspect captured, but authorities later clarified that only one person was involved and in custody.
The Attorney General’s office mentioned that further information will be made available once it can be done without compromising the investigation’s integrity. Meanwhile, the Sheraton Hotel nearby has been designated as a staging area for law enforcement.
Police urged the public to steer clear of the Sky Meadow area for the time being. The country club is known for its golf courses and event facilities, according to its website.

In Dunstable, Massachusetts, which is located less than 10 miles from Nashua, officials placed certain neighborhoods under a shelter-in-place order, a measure that has since been lifted.
Senator Jeanne Shaheen expressed her shock at the incident, stating, “My team and I are closely monitoring reports of a horrifying tragedy at Sky Meadow Country Club tonight. Billie and I pray for the injured. There’s no place for such meaningless violence in our state.” Democratic representative Maggie Goodlander added, “We are closely watching the tragic developments from tonight’s shooting at the Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua. My thoughts are with the victims and their families, as well as the whole Nashua community.”
The Nashua Police Department is collaborating with the New Hampshire State Police for further investigation.
The Nashua Police Department has yet to respond to requests for additional comments, and Nashua Fire Rescue has also opted not to comment at this time.
