Madison Prewett Troutt honors Charlie Kirk's faith legacy

Tribute to Charlie Kirk by Madison Prewet Trout

In the aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s tragic passing, Madison Prewet Trout remembers his impactful legacy, recognizing him as someone who profoundly lived for his faith and truth.

Trout first garnered national attention in season 23 of ABC’s “The Bachelor,” where she ended up as the runner-up. Since then, she has married Grant Trout, and together they have a daughter named Hosanna.

Beyond her personal journey, Trout has emerged as a significant voice of faith. She’s the host of the “Stay True Podcast” and a bestselling author. In her latest book, “It’s Dare to Be True: I Will Defeat the Lies That Will Bind You and Live the Truth That Will Free You,” she aims to guide readers toward a genuine, Christ-centered life. The book is available from this Tuesday.

Trout expressed her feelings of devastation over Kirk’s assassination, stating, “I felt a heavy sadness, as I’m sure many across America did. Yet, simultaneously, I felt emboldened.” She described Kirk as someone who “lived and died for the truth.”

Since Kirk’s death, Trout has noted a noticeable shift in public interest. “People are now saying, ‘I want to learn more about the truth and the foundation he built,'” she mentioned.

Reflecting on Kirk’s influence, she stressed that his political engagement reflected his deep-seated beliefs, ultimately rooted in his faith. “Everything he did was guided by the truth of Jesus Christ, which inspired not just me but many across the nation,” she said.

Trout shared that Kirk’s untimely death prompts many to ponder hard questions about existence and eternity. “It’s been a time of reflection for many. People are seeking hope amidst the darkness,” she noted.

Her new book centers on the quest for meaning and truth. “One night, I felt compelled to write about the truth that everyone needs. Our world, filled with chaos and pain, creates a hunger for greater purpose,” she explained. “There is this deep yearning for something beyond ourselves.”

Trout also expressed her sorrow for the Kirks while emphasizing faith’s significance in tough times. “What the enemy intends for harm, God can turn into good,” she stated, highlighting her belief in a broader divine purpose behind tragedy.

“Life lacks meaning without Jesus. Regardless of worldly wealth or fame, without Him, there’s no hope, peace, or purpose,” she added, offering encouragement about Kirk’s eternal legacy. “While that day marked the end of Charlie’s time here, it ushered in his eternal life.”
