Bondy Pledges Swift Justice in Recent Murders

Attorney General Pam Bondy has promised quick action following the assassination of Charlie Kirk and the murder of Ukrainian refugee Irina Zaltoska. She stated that federal authorities will ensure that those responsible are found and charged promptly.

“Look at the FBI’s work with the assassination of Charlie. It was impressive how swiftly they apprehended a suspect in this case. We will find you, catch you, and prosecute you,” Bondy mentioned in an interview with Lara Trump.

She suggested that such enforcement is a significant deterrent, as many might hesitate to commit similar acts.

In light of Kirk’s assassination, Bondy remarked that the time for normalizing political violence, particularly that associated with the “radical left,” is over.

During her interview, Bondy made a clear distinction between protected speech and incitement to violence. She assured viewers that they would be ready to act against those who promote violence, saying, “You can hate all day long, but if you incite an attack, we’re here for you.”

She criticized the celebrations surrounding Kirk’s murder, noting that it only served to galvanize his supporters, saying, “It’s disgusting. His death hasn’t silenced anyone.”

“I don’t think they realized what they had unleashed when they killed Charlie,” she continued, observing the growth of Turning Point chapters across the nation.

Bondy expressed a personal connection, mentioning how she wanted to help friends start their own Turning Point chapter, surprised to learn they were conservative.

The investigations into the murders of Kirk and Zaltoska are still ongoing, with suspects Tyler Robinson and DeCarlos Brown Jr. currently in custody. Robinson faces first-degree murder charges, with the possibility of the death penalty in Utah. Additionally, the Department of Justice is contemplating federal charges in Zaltoska’s case, which occurred on public transport in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Former President Donald Trump had previously criticized Bondy for her lack of action, urging her to pursue charges against political adversaries. He cited individuals like former FBI director James Comey and California Senator Adam Schiff as targets.

In a follow-up statement, he acknowledged Bondy’s “careful” work over recent months but expressed frustration about the pace of legal actions.

The Department of Justice has not yet provided a response to comments regarding these cases.
