Giants fans are becoming annoyed with Russell Wilson.

“Dart” chants resonated throughout MetLife Stadium on Sunday night as frustrated New York Giants fans voiced their displeasure with Russell Wilson’s performance during the game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The calls for Jaxson Dart began to rise as the second quarter neared its end. Wilson aimed for Malik Neighbors in the end zone, but the ball was intercepted by Chiefs defensive back Jalen Watson, marking Wilson’s second interception of the night.

The NBC broadcast picked up the atmosphere as fans echoed their desire for Dart to take the field again in the third quarter. By the fourth quarter, the mood had soured into boos after a series of unsuccessful passing attempts, culminating in Wilson being penalized for intentional grounding.

During the second half, Dart stepped in during certain plays, though he didn’t seem to shake up the Chiefs’ defense too much. Fans were keen to see him take more action.

Giants head coach Brian Daboll discussed the team’s strategies after the game. He mentioned their plans for Dart and acknowledged that the initial plays didn’t pan out as expected, resulting in lost yards. When asked about the fans’ booing, Daboll seemed to understand their frustration. He expressed optimism about Dart’s future development, yet was candid about the need for improvement across the board.

Wilson had a tough night, completing 18 of 32 passes for 160 yards with two interceptions and was sacked twice. Dart managed a solitary three-yard carry.

Looking ahead, it’s uncertain if Dart will secure broader support among the fans. The Giants are set to welcome the Los Angeles Chargers next week and will travel to New Orleans on October 5 to take on the Saints.
