Chiefs CEO's wife criticizes those rejoicing over Charlie Kirk's death

Tavia Hunt Condemns Celebrations Following Charlie Kirk’s Death

Tavia Hunt, who is the wife of Kansas City Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt and a director of the Chiefs Women’s Organization, has publicly criticized those who found joy in Charlie Kirk’s assassination.

She shared a post from Libs on Tiktok, highlighting how an employee at the University of Kansas has faced no repercussions for their comments regarding Kirk. The conservative commentator was killed at an event at Utah Valley University about two weeks ago.

“When a man loses his life publicly over differing beliefs, leaving behind a wife and two children, you can either ignore it or celebrate. It’s irrelevant who he was,” she expressed.

This statement coincided with a remembrance service for Kirk held at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. During the service, his wife, Erika Kirk, spoke to attendees about forgiving her husband’s murderer, Tyler Robinson. She emphasized that Kirk’s aim was to guide young men towards purpose.

“Charlie sought to reach and help those lost boys in the West—young men lacking direction, purpose, or faith, who often feel powerless,” she said. “He wanted to lead them to a better path through Turning Point USA. His goal was to help them live richer lives.” She even referenced compassion, stating, “The answer to hatred is not more hatred, but love—including for those who harm us.”

Tavia Hunt had also expressed her sorrow shortly after Kirk’s death, saying, “We are heartbroken and saddened by the shocking and tragic passing of Charlie Kirk, a courageous advocate for faith, freedom, and America’s future.”

“My heart goes out to his lovely wife, Erica, and their dear children. This unimaginable loss is devastating, and we encourage everyone to keep them in their thoughts and prayers,” she added.
