The Ultimate Food Festival Comes to New York City

If you’re looking for a unique food experience that also supports a good cause, the New York City Wine & Food Festival (NYCWFF) is just what you need. This five-day annual event features some of the world’s most renowned chefs, top NYC restaurants, celebrities, and mixologists, spotlighting the talents of beloved TV chefs across America.

Scheduled from October 15th to 19th, the festival will take place in the scenic Seaport area of lower Manhattan. With over 50 events planned, including tastings, intimate dinners, cocktail parties, and brunches, it’s a celebration of the city’s vibrant food culture.

Partnership for a Purpose

The NYCWFF has a mission centered on creating a better future through food, hospitality, and sustainability. Over the last 17 years, the festival has raised upwards of $14.8 million for charity. This year’s proceeds will support the Zero Foundation, which encourages sustainable event practices, alongside the James Beard Foundation, promoting excellence in the culinary world.

Here are some events to check out if you’ll be in NYC this October:

Grand Tasting: Daytime and After Dark

One of the festival’s biggest draws is The Grand Tasting, an all-day feast. Expect to see culinary talent in action, including Emmy-nominated actress Sofia Vergara and her son Manolo, who will showcase their gourmet empanada brand, Toma. Attendees can savor wine and spirits, sample dishes from top NYC restaurants, enjoy live cooking demos, and discover their favorite food brands.

For the first time, there will also be an after-dark edition of the Grand Tasting, presented by Monchevregoat Cheese. Hosted by Food Network’s Bobby Flay and Brooke Williamson, this night promises unlimited food bites, live demos by Food Network stars, and music by DJ Tokyo Rose.

Blue Moon Burger Bash 2.0

This fan-favorite event is back and better than ever, featuring chefs from all five boroughs competing for the coveted burger bash crown with their own unique takes on this classic dish. Rachel Ray will host again, with Brooklyn Beckham making an appearance. Guests can vote for their top burgers and watch as celebrity judges, including JA Rule and Sunny Anderson, hand out additional awards.

Tin Building Taste: A Culinary Experience

Kicking off the festival weekend is Taste of the Tin Building, an immersive event led by James Beard Award-winning chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten and his protégé, Gregory Gourdet. Guests will enjoy signature bites, fine wines, and expertly crafted cocktails in a lively atmosphere, featuring some of the Tin Building’s most acclaimed restaurants.

Closing Night: Italian East Feast

As the festival wraps up, join Sunday’s Peroni-sponsored Italian celebration. Set against the stunning skyline, this lively outdoor event celebrates the best of Italian cuisine, from homemade pasta to artisan pizzas and desserts. The evening will feature comedic entertainment from Lil “Mo” Mozzarella alongside the celebrated “Pasta Queen” from Rome, promising a night filled with laughter and delicious pairings of Italian wines and cocktails.
