Ravens set a disappointing NFL record with 111 points and a losing record

Baltimore Ravens’ Struggles Continue with Another Loss

The Detroit Lions handed the Baltimore Ravens their second defeat of the season on Monday night, despite the Ravens briefly holding a lead late in the game. Ultimately, the final score proved more significant than their momentary advantage.

In Week 4, the Ravens have not had the best run, accumulating a total of 111 points over three games. This statistic, according to ESPN research, marks them as the highest-scoring team with a losing record in the first three games of an NFL season.

After the game, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson reflected on the performance. “I feel like the way we played was like a huge hole, but that’s still the beginning of the season,” he commented, noting he was sacked seven times during the match. “There’s a lot to do, and we have to do it.”

Jackson expressed the need for improvement, saying, “We have to find a way to win.” Both of their losses this season have been close, with the Ravens falling 41-40 in their opening game against the Buffalo Bills, and then suffering a 38-30 defeat against the Lions.

The team’s only win this season came against the Cleveland Browns, when they secured a 41-17 victory. Looking ahead, coach John Harbaugh suggested that while the offense wasn’t entirely at fault, they would need to bolster their running game as they prepare for their upcoming matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. “The biggest problem is we didn’t put in good defense,” he said post-game. “No one in that locker room thinks it’s enough. It’s not us. It can’t be us. It’s not acceptable.”

Defensively, the Ravens struggled significantly, allowing the Lions to rack up 426 yards, with 224 of those coming on the ground. Lion running back David Montgomery accounted for 151 yards while teammate Jermer Gibbs added another 67.
