Dave Bautista Opens Up About Positivity in Acting

Dave Bautista has had enough of negativity. In a recent interview, the actor, who stars in the action film Afterburn, shared insights about his career and his stance on complaints within the industry.

“I guess I’m just at a stage in life where, well, life feels too short,” Bautista remarked. He expressed his love for filmmaking and emphasized the importance of surrounding himself with passionate and positive collaborators. “If people aren’t happy or invested, I don’t want to be around them. You know?”

Bautista went on to explain that his passion for acting is genuine. “I’m just thrilled to be doing what I love,” he said. He conveyed a strong desire to make the most of every opportunity, indicating he doesn’t want to hear negativity from others on set.

Reflecting on his journey, Bautista mentioned the transition from WWE to acting, a decision he made 15 years ago. “I still have a connection to WWE because I really enjoyed my time there. I have a lot of love for that universe,” he stated. “But acting? That’s where my heart is right now, and I’m pursuing it with everything I’ve got.”

Interestingly, Bautista isn’t alone in his viewpoint. Last year, Chris Pratt also criticized a negative attitude among some of his peers. “Look, you can’t afford to have a bad attitude in filmmaking. It just ruins the whole vibe,” he said during a panel discussion. Pratt highlighted the impact that negativity can have on everyone involved.

Both actors make a strong case for maintaining a positive atmosphere in the industry, reminding us that, ultimately, the joy in creation should overshadow the hardships.
