Cowboys Face Staff Shortages Ahead of Mika Parsons’ Homecoming
The Dallas Cowboys are gearing up for a tough match this Sunday night as they face significant staffing shortages related to injuries.
Rookie guard Tyler Booker is expected to be sidelined for four to six weeks after suffering a high ankle sprain during a 31-14 loss to the Chicago Bears. This is a tough blow, especially since he had played every snap against Chicago and is the first-round pick for 2025. The team’s offense has already been hit hard by injuries in the past weeks.
Also on the injury list is star wide receiver Ceedee Lamb, who has a high ankle sprain sustained in the same game. Initially, it seemed his situation wasn’t too serious. However, Dallas is now looking at a 10-14 day period to monitor his condition before making any further decisions.
Adding to the Cowboys’ woes, center Cooper Beebee is already on injured reserve due to an ankle sprain he suffered in Week 2 against the New York Giants.
Owner Jerry Jones mentioned that both Booker and Lamb might join Beebee on the injured reserve list, stating, “We’re keeping an eye on that. We still have a few days before any decisions need to be made.”
The Cowboys will be facing a tough challenge as they prepare for Parsons’ first game back at AT&T Stadium, which has gotten some fans riled up given the circumstances surrounding his trade to the Green Bay Packers before the 2025 season. It’s a complicated situation, with many fans feeling frustrated as Parsons has shown strong performance against the Cowboys in his first three games with the Packers.
As the Cowboys’ offensive line struggles with injuries, they will need to find a way to protect Dak Prescott from Parsons’ relentless pursuit.
In the meantime, backup block Hoffman is set to step in for Beebee, while TJ Bass will take over Booker’s position. It’s shaping up to be quite a challenging evening for the team.
