Dave Bautista isn’t one to tolerate negativity. In a recent interview, the actor, who stars in the action film *Afterburn*, shared insights about his career and his reasons for avoiding complaints.
“I’m at a stage in my life where everything feels a bit, well, godless,” Bautista mentioned during the chat. “I love this business, so I want to collaborate with people I respect and care about. If someone doesn’t want to be there, I’d rather not be around them. You know what I mean?”
He expressed a clear enthusiasm for his work, adding, “I’m genuinely happy to be there. It’s all about love for me, and I’m really passionate about it. I want to make the most of every moment, so I don’t want to hear any negativity about what we do.”
Reflecting on his career shift from WWE to acting 15 years ago, Bautista explained, “I’m still connected to WWE because I genuinely loved it. I have a strong affinity for that universe, and it’s not that I wanted to distance myself from it.” He acknowledged his passion for acting but emphasized that he still cherishes his wrestling roots.
“I’ve maintained a good relationship with the company, and my love for wrestling remains. I hope they keep that door open for me,” he said.
Bautista isn’t alone in sharing frustrations about attitudes in the industry. Last year, Chris Pratt also spoke out against peers who approach their work with a lackluster attitude. “You can’t afford to have a bad attitude in filmmaking. It affects everyone, and ultimately, you won’t be around for long if that’s your approach,” he remarked.
Pratt’s comments echoed Bautista’s sentiments, emphasizing that a poor attitude can diminish the whole experience. “When you come to set and act like, ‘Oh, life is so hard,’ that’s just not how it should be,” he concluded.
