Frankie Muniz Expresses Pride in His Faith
Frankie Muniz, widely recognized for his role as the lead in the early 2000s sitcom *Malcolm in the Middle*, recently took to social media to share that he is “prideful.” The post garnered 2.4 million views and received a warm response, including support from Christian actress Candice Cameron Bure.
Recently, Muniz has been more vocal about his faith. For instance, in January, he shared an Instagram video where he listened to Pat Barrett’s worship song “Build My Life.” He described it as “a hilarious contrast between being angry at a matter of a few minutes and praising God.” He added, “You have to trust the good and the bad because it’s all part of his plan.”
Following the success of *Malcolm in the Middle*, where he starred alongside Brian Cranston, Muniz pursued a career in NASCAR racing starting in 2006. He sought to focus on racing and family, distancing himself from the Hollywood scene. Muniz reflected on this change, noting, “I had all the cars—so, yes, I could have experienced a truly wonderful life in that sense. But it comes at a very high price. Money doesn’t buy happiness. Look at Hollywood—there are a lot of miserable people, right?”
In August, Muniz had to take a break from racing after suffering a wrist injury from a fall off a backyard ladder. He humorously noted that the phrase “FML” (Frankie Muniz’s life) took on new meaning because of such moments. He expressed disappointment about missing several races due to the injury but remained grateful that it wasn’t worse, acknowledging his eagerness to return to racing.
This year, Disney announced a reboot of *Malcolm in the Middle*, featuring original cast members Muniz, Cranston, and Jane Kaczmarek reprising their roles. Muniz shared his thoughts on the reboot, mentioning, “It’s hard to fit into four 30-minute episodes of 20 years, right? But I think people will be very pleased with what they come up with.”
