Giants QB Russell Wilson Keeps It Light on Social Media
On Tuesday, Giants quarterback Russell Wilson shared a cheerful moment on social media. Despite leading New York to a disappointing 0-3 start, he reposted a heartfelt message from his wife, Ciara, on his Instagram story that featured photos of their family.
Ciara, 39, expressed her affection, saying, “We love you so much,” accompanied by a heart emoji.
In his post, Wilson, 36, replied simply, “My Reason! I love @ciara.”
Recently, Wilson visited Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital in New York, sharing a glimpse of the experience on his X account.
This past week, rookie quarterback Jackson Dirt, drafted 25th overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, is set to make his first NFL start at MetLife Stadium this Sunday.
The decision to switch to Dirt followed Wilson’s struggles, including two interceptions and a lack of offensive production during a tough 22-9 loss to the Chiefs on “Sunday Night Football.” Fans even chanted, “I want dirt!” at the game.
Though Dirt saw limited action against Kansas City, he hasn’t attempted a pass yet this season.
Wilson joined the Giants on a one-year deal back in March after spending a season with the Steelers, where he started 11 games and helped lead the team to the playoffs. Last season, he threw for 2,482 yards, with 16 touchdowns and five interceptions, achieving a 63.7% completion rate.
Having won a Super Bowl with the Seahawks in 2014, Wilson married Ciara two years later. They are parents to daughters Siena and Amora, and Ciara has an 11-year-old son, Zahir, from a previous relationship.
In other news on Tuesday, kicker Young Coo has joined the practice squad after being released from the Falcons.
The Giants will face the Chargers this Sunday at 1 PM, looking to secure their first win of the season against a 3-0 opponent.
