Rob Gronkowski’s Mom Steals the Show with a Spatula
During her guest appearance on “Up & Adams,” Diane Gronkowski, Rob Gronkowski’s mom, captured everyone’s attention by playfully slapping him with a green spatula.
This amusing moment began when a studio analyst from “Fox NFL Sunday” teased her about her birthday. The host, Kay Adams, encouraged Diane to recreate how she used to, um, discipline young Rob with that same spatula as a kid.
“A lot of it was that he never stopped,” she shared, reflecting on why she sometimes had to resort to those tactics. “He always had to be in the spotlight, and I thought, ‘I’m just exhausted, I need a break.’
Diane went on, chuckling as she recalled his laughter back then. “He didn’t really take it seriously… they all just laughed at me when I tried to discipline them.”
Rob, a four-time Super Bowl champion, couldn’t help but joke about the situation as well.
On social media, the “Up & Adams” account shared a clip of the spatula incident, playfully captioned with, “Gronk Spike is out. GronkSpank…In?” along with a crying emoji.
Adams later reposted the video and wished Diane a happy birthday, adding a humorous note about the spatula incident.
Amidst the laughter, Gronkowski expressed deep appreciation for his mother, noting how she balanced raising him and his five siblings. For her birthday, he went all out, fulfilling a “bucket list item.” He shared that his mother had always wanted to experience flying in first class, so he arranged two tickets for her, although he insisted on a trip to New York for Christmas.
