Yankees' Aaron Judge enters rare home run group alongside Babe Ruth

Yankees’ Aaron Judge Makes History with Home Run Feat

Aaron Judge, the star of the New York Yankees, has etched his name into baseball history once again.

During a game against the Chicago White Sox, Judge became the fourth player ever in MLB history to hit 50 home runs across four different seasons, leading the Yankees to an 8-1 victory. He achieved this milestone with his 50th and 51st home runs of the season.

Joining him in this exclusive club are legends like Babe Ruth, Mark McGwire, and Sammy Sosa.

In the second inning, Judge sent the ball flying 392 feet over the Yankees bullpen. He smoked a 97 mph sinker from White Sox pitcher Jonathan Cannon, putting the Yankees ahead 3-1. “I clearly messed up with the best hitter in the game. He made me pay for that,” Cannon commented after the game. “He hits everything,” he added.

His second home run came in the eighth inning, shortly after Trent Grisham hit a two-run shot. Judge followed up with a solo home run that soared 395 feet into the right field stands, extending the Yankees’ lead to 8-1.

Judge finished the game with a 4-for-3 performance, including two home runs and a walk, raising his batting average to an impressive .328 this season. The competition for the American League MVP title is heating up, particularly with Cal Raleigh also in the mix.

He’s on course to become one of the tallest batting champions in MLB history, boasting a leading OPS of 1.136. You’d think with all this success, he might take a moment to reflect, but not Judge. “If you stop to admire your accomplishments, you risk losing your momentum,” he stated after the win. “I’m hoping to have a long career here and create some memorable moments.”

The Yankees, having achieved a season-high 22 games over .500, aim for their third straight victory against the White Sox in the series finale. Tied with the Toronto Blue Jays at the top of the AL East, they have four games left to secure a playoff position.
