‘Driven by Hate’: Tom Homan States Anti-ICE Comments Encouraged Dallas Shooter To ‘Act’

Concern Over Safety of ICE Agents

Tom Homan, former acting director of ICE, expressed to Fox News host Harris Faulkner on Thursday his grave concerns regarding the increasing dangers faced by agents of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. He suggested it might just be a “matter of time” before more agents are killed.

This followed a shooting incident at the Dallas ICE office on Wednesday, where one person was killed, and the shooter subsequently took his own life. Faulkner reminded Homan that he had previously warned about such risks during an earlier appearance in July.

“I’ve been in this field since 1984—over 40 years of experience. Honestly, I’ve never seen anything this severe,” Homan noted. While discussing the situation, he remarked that “rhetoric fuels this kind of hatred,” implying that some individuals, who might draw extreme comparisons to figures like the Nazis, could act on their venomous feelings against ICE.

Since July 4th, in connection with prior incidents involving ICE, ten individuals have been charged with attempted murder. Furthermore, the Dallas ICE facility faced bomb threats back in August, according to the Department of Homeland Security.

FBI Director Kash Patel revealed that the shooter’s online activity contained the phrase “anti-ICE,” and he shared further details that hinted at a “pre-attack plan,” raising further concerns about the threats facing ICE agents.
