Marvel Zombies Arrives on Disney+
So, Marvel Zombies just landed on Disney+ two days ago, and it seems fans are already clamoring for more. Not surprising, right?
This four-part series, which occurs after the Avengers face off against the Zombie Plague, showcases a lineup of notable voices—think Elizabeth Olsen, Florence Pugh, Iman Vellani, Simu Liu, David Harbour, and Paul Rudd. The story revolves around a “desperate group of survivors” fighting to stave off a zombie apocalypse. Sounds intense, doesn’t it?
Maddie Kasar, a contributor who chimed in on the series, noted that it’s particularly crafted for fans of the MCU and the whole Zombie Apocalypse genre. But she also pointed out that it might not be the most welcoming title for folks who aren’t already in that niche.
So, here’s something I’m curious about—could there be a second season of Marvel Zombies? And how many episodes are available now? Let’s break it down.
How Many Episodes of Marvel Zombies Are There?
Right now, you can catch four episodes of Marvel Zombies on Disney+, each running between 32 and 38 minutes. As for a second season, it hasn’t been officially greenlit yet, but the show’s creators mentioned they have plans in place. Apparently, they’re all set to roll when everything’s lined up.
Marvel Studios’ head of streaming, television, and animation, Bloodwinderbaum, encouraged viewers to subscribe to Disney+ and tune in. He seemed optimistic, saying that more viewership could lead to more content. Exciting, huh?
Series Director Brian Andrews shared with Variety that there’s a wealth of material to explore. If a second season moves forward, they’ll be ready to tease more of that “madness.” It sounds like they have plenty of ideas brewing!
Marvel Zombies Ending Overview:
In the finale, we see Scarlet Witch (Olsen) trying to convince Kamala Khan (Vellani) to join forces. After a bit of a struggle, Kamala wakes up at home in New Jersey. Initially, everything seems normal, but, per IGN, it quickly turns out to be yet another altered reality created by the Scarlet Witch, with zombies still lurking about.
Andrews touched on the ending’s “despicableness,” stating he expected it to unfold this way. He also mentioned how they deliberated over how much to show at the conclusion. Initially, they had a subtler version, but after receiving feedback, they decided to amp it up a bit. He felt they struck a good balance without overdoing it.
