Tarlov Describes GOP as a 'Vengeful Group of Infants' After Comey Indictment

Discussion on Biden’s Preemptive Pardon

On a recent episode of “Five People” on Fox News, Democratic strategist Jessica Tarlov suggested that former President Joe Biden’s decision to issue a preemptive pardon stemmed from his awareness of the Republican Party’s desire for retribution.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) revealed that James Comey was charged in September 2020 with two counts related to accusations of lying to Congress. Tarlov was asked if anyone in her party had anticipated such developments. She responded emphatically, expressing that this was precisely why Biden granted the pardon—because he recognized the Republicans’ vindictive nature.

In response, Jesse Watters pointed out that Comey did not receive a pardon, and he warned that this was just the start of potential legal issues for many. He emphasized the importance of keeping one’s financial affairs in order and not lying to Congress, especially when it comes to serious offenses, contrasting it with the actions of figures like District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

Comey’s legal troubles continued when Biden, in December 2024, afforded leniency to nearly 1,500 individuals, including several Democratic politicians and others convicted of corruption. Tarlov criticized Biden’s amnesty actions, particularly regarding prominent figures associated with him, suggesting that such measures should have followed the proper channels within the DOJ.

Tarlov also referenced former US Attorney Eric Siebert, noting purported familial connections to Comey and his resignation following President Donald Trump’s call for his removal. She remarked on Siebert’s close ties to Comey, questioning the influence of his associates within the DOJ.

The conversation turned to current officials, with Tarlov expressing disdain for successful individuals, while raising doubts about the competencies of Trump administration figures, hinting at issues of integrity.

Watters countered that those involved had initiated the chaos, asserting that they would ultimately be held accountable. According to the DOJ, Comey faces serious charges, including making false statements and obstructing investigations, reflecting rising tensions as the political landscape shifts.

The announcement of Comey’s charges followed revelations of a criminal probe into John Brennan, the former FBI and CIA director, concerning his conduct related to the Steele dossier.

In response to his indictment, Comey shared a nearly minute-long video expressing his family’s long-standing awareness of the repercussions associated with Trump, while encouraging viewers to stay engaged and aware.
