Philadelphia DA faces Republican activist at park, criticizes 'fascist' Trump

Conflict Between Philadelphia DA and Young Republican Activist Goes Viral

Philadelphia’s progressive District Attorney, Larry Krasner, sparked controversy in a recently circulated video where he confronted a young Republican activist at a park. The exchange quickly gained traction online.

Krasner, during this heated moment, labeled former President Donald Trump as a “fascist.” When pressed for clarification on his statement, he veered into a more personal attack, declaring, “You’re not American, Frank. You’re not American.” He went on to assert that the activist was “anti-American.”

The activist, identified as Frank Scale, recorded the encounter and countered Krasner’s statements, asserting, “I am a resident of this city who cares about public safety. Why do you call me non-American?”

In response, Krasner asserted that Scale’s support of some individuals exemplified hatred. He elaborated, “The kind of fascism that people like Adolf Hitler propagate is what we’re moving closer to.”

As the confrontation unfolded, Scale suggested that Krasner, at 22 years old, lacked experience. He criticized the news platform “Surge Philly,” which he claimed was a source of misinformation.

It remains uncertain whether Scale deliberately sought out Krasner or if their meeting was coincidental. The discussion took a turn when Krasner referenced a previous incident in which Scale was involved related to a local meeting.

On September 16, there was an event that Scale participated in, a town hall organized by Krasner at a local church. This event was purportedly disorganized and centered around evaluating the possibility of deploying the National Guard in Philadelphia as Trump had previously mentioned for other cities.

While there is no official announcement regarding the National Guard’s deployment in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro mentioned earlier that the state is prepared to respond if such action is taken.

Shapiro stated, “We can tell you that we are ready. If they are going to deploy the National Guard in any community in Pennsylvania, we are prepared.”

Krasner publicly denounced the notion of fascism, claiming that some members of the Pennsylvania Legislature and their affiliates do not believe in the fundamental equality of all people. He insisted that such ideologies echo the discriminatory practices of historical fascists.

In a dramatic turn, Scale stood up during the exchange and accused Krasner of being responsible for violent events, asserting, “People like you are responsible for the death of Charlie Kirk. Stop calling them fascists.”

Scale later expressed that he initially didn’t intend to provoke the district attorney but believed the town hall was merely a “promotional stunt.” He was denied access to another town hall event two days later.

Krasner also criticized the Trump administration’s allegations against the Justice Department, stating that it requires fairness and equality to function correctly. He urged others to reject any political interference in justice and labeled the ongoing situation as an attack on democratic norms.

Fox News Digital reached out to both Scale and Krasner for comments regarding this incident.
