Football Player Arrested for Alleged Sexual Abuse

A University of Kentucky football player, Jamarion Wilcox, is facing serious allegations after reportedly sneaking into the bed of a woman who was asleep. He is accused of trying to force her legs apart and refusing to leave.

Wilcox, 21, was arrested on Friday, charged with sexual abuse in relation to an incident that occurred on August 20 at a home off-campus, according to reports.

Court documents state that Wilcox was visiting a woman when he allegedly attacked her roommate in the middle of the night. The victim claimed she woke up to find him in her bed, and he was attempting to “force” her legs open.

When she confronted him, letting him know he was in the wrong room, he reportedly laughed and continued his inappropriate behavior. This caused both women to confront him about his actions.

Wilcox allegedly refused to get out of bed when asked, leading the two women to call the police for assistance. One of the women recalled that the officers took about 20 minutes to get him to leave.

A restraining order was issued by Fayette District Court, requiring that Wilcox maintain a distance of at least 500 feet from the victim.

A spokesperson for the University of Kentucky stated that they are aware of the situation and will continue to monitor it closely, emphasizing ongoing efforts to gather information.

Wilcox has been withheld from team activities following violations of team rules, which include a recent suspension after a game against Toledo.

Originally from Douglasville, Georgia, Wilcox had led the Wildcats in rushing during the 2024 season, accumulating 590 yards and two touchdowns on 92 carries.

As of now, he has not participated in any games this season and is expected to attend a court hearing scheduled for November 3rd.
