Incident at NYC Music Festival Involving Laura Young

Laura Young collapsed while performing at a music festival in New York City.

At just 24, the singer was reportedly in the middle of her hit song at the All Things Music Festival at Forest Hills Stadium when she fell ill.

Witnesses said the medical team quickly assisted her off the stage, and the audience reacted with supportive cheers.

Neither the artist nor festival representatives have issued a comment following the event.

Young had previously canceled a performance scheduled for Friday, stating it was necessary due to personal health concerns, according to her manager Nick Symansky. He mentioned on Instagram that the cancellation was “due to sensitive issues.”

He noted that Young is transparent about her mental health challenges, emphasizing the need for occasional protective measures for her well-being. “She takes her fans and career seriously, and I apologize for any inconvenience,” he said.

The singer has openly discussed her battles with mental health and addiction, having been diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder at age 17.

In a recent interview, she acknowledged the difficulty of maintaining her well-being while on tour. “It was a struggle. I had to focus on healing internally while touring,” she shared.

She remarked on the learning process that comes with such experiences, expressing that it fosters empathy towards others facing similar challenges. “It’s a constant journey,” she added.

Earlier this year, she also spoke about her journey managing ADHD, sharing how a new treatment plan has significantly improved her life. “It really changed how I process my thoughts,” she explained, emphasizing the importance of normalizing discussions around mental and physical health.
