Kelsey Ballerini bid farewell to September in a heartfelt way. The 32-year-old country star shared several photos on Instagram, capturing moments spent with friends and family, and captioned her post, “The Last 🍁 of September.”
One of the photos features a friend and Ballerini, with one in a black bikini, playfully enjoying a hot tub. In the picture, she can be seen munching on something, holding a plate of food and a glass of wine. There are also images of her posing with a group of friends, all in cowboy hats and flannels, against beautiful scenic backdrops, along with a snapshot of her dog adorned with a cone.
Fans flooded the comments, showing concern for her dog. Comments included, “Divy is very strong, we love him,” and “Divy is the strongest boy.”
Not long ago, Ballerini grabbed headlines for her breakup with actor Chase Stokes after nearly three years together. They sparked dating rumors in January before officially revealing their relationship at the CMT Awards in April 2023.
A representative for the singer confirmed the split, stating, “They are two adults who gave it all and tried to do everything they could to make it work, but in the end they couldn’t. That happens,” which is, I guess, realistic.
Ballerini began dating Stokes in December 2022. In an interview with Neon in October 2023, she recalled first connecting with him through a flirty direct message on Instagram. It’s a twist, really; just a couple of days ago, he posted a birthday shoutout to her on his Instagram, including a photo of them together.
In his post, he seemed to be contradicting themselves slightly, saying, “You keep saying you’re not excited about 32, but I’m looking forward to this more. Happy birthday, my love.”
Prior to Stokes, Ballerini was married to musician Morgan Evans. Their marriage lasted about five years, from December 2017 until November 2022. Reflecting on that relationship, she mentioned, “There was separation. There was a long-standing couple therapy. There were nights sleeping on the couch.” She recalled a moment during that time, realizing, “This isn’t what I want.”
