October baseball is upon us! The Major League Baseball postseason kicks off on Tuesday, September 30th with the Wild Card Series. The playoff lineup was finalized on the last day of the regular season. The Reds clinched the final playoff spot in the National League by finishing a season series against the Mets on a high note.
The Brewers and Phillies secured the top two seeds in the National League, earning themselves a bye in the opening round. In a 4-5 matchup, the Cubs will face off against the Padres, while the Reds will head to Los Angeles to challenge the reigning champion Dodgers.
On the American League side, the Toronto Blue Jays and Seattle Mariners also snagged first-round byes as the top seeds. The Tigers will visit Cleveland for a matchup in the AL Central. Another intriguing Wild Card series will pit the Red Sox against the Yankees.
