Prince William Reflects on His Grandmother
Prince William has expressed his sadness regarding the absence of his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
During a private tour of Windsor Castle with “Schitt’s Creek” actor Eugene Levy, the 43-year-old Prince shared some of his preferred spots around the beautiful Berkshire estate.
In a preview for an upcoming episode of Apple’s “The Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy,” William discussed the significant changes the royal family has faced since Elizabeth’s passing in September 2022 at the age of 96.
“I actually, yeah, I miss my grandmother and grandfather,” William confided to Levy from a room in the castle that was dear to the late Queen.
“Yeah, that was a pretty big change, so you think about how they’re not here anymore, especially in Windsor. She loved it here and spent most of her time here,” he added.
Windsor Castle has historical significance as it was the main base for then-Princess Elizabeth and her sister, Princess Margaret, during World War II. The sisters shared a close bond during their time there.
“To show you today is to try and make sure I’m doing this because she would want you to see it,” William told Levy.
Windsor held a special place for the Royals, particularly for the late Prince Philip, who was a ranger at Windsor Great Park for nearly 70 years and contributed to its stewardship and design.
The series will feature Levy traveling globally, with appearances from special guests like Grammy Award winner Michael Bublé and Levy’s daughter, Sarah, who also starred in “Schitt’s Creek.”
The new episode of “The Reluctant Traveler” is set to air on October 31st, leading up to the finale, with a special royal episode scheduled for October 3rd.
In a lighthearted moment, Prince William humorously inquired if getting drunk with Levy was on his bucket list. “Did you ever imagine sharing a drink with Prince William?” he asked, further adding to the jovial atmosphere of their meeting.
“That’s definitely a bucket list moment,” Levy chuckled in response.
