Panthers Struggling in 2023 Season
The Carolina Panthers had a glimmer of hope in week three with a solid victory over the Atlanta Falcons. However, just a week later, they faced a harsh reality against the New England Patriots.
Since their last playoff appearance in 2017, the Panthers have faced a challenging road. David Tepper acquired the team in 2018, and since then, the record has reflected more losses than wins.
Currently, Carolina finds itself with a 1-3 record this season, continuing a trend under Tepper’s ownership where the team has struggled to finish with a winning record or make it to the playoffs. This ongoing frustration has even spilled into the realm of podcasts, with fans voicing their discontent through a show dedicated to the team.
“Meowmix: A Carolina Panthers Podcast” announced it will be going on an indefinite hiatus, citing the team’s recent performances as the main reason. The podcast’s host expressed disappointment in losing time that could be spent with family due to the team’s struggles on the field.
Launched in 2019, “Meowmix” resonated with fans who enjoyed a laid-back, conversational style as the hosts shared their thoughts on the Panthers. Their announcement mentioned the joy of connecting with listeners since their first episode.
Injuries have also played a significant role in shaping the Panthers’ season, leaving key players sidelined just weeks into the campaign. Coach Dave Canales acknowledged the impact, but emphasized that the focus must remain on performance and trust among the team members.
With a bleak win-loss record of 37-83 since Tepper took over, the Panthers have seen multiple coaching changes. Looking ahead, they will be facing the Miami Dolphins this Sunday, hoping for a shift in fortunes.
